Mansions for sale in Andalusia,
where the south slows down.
Mansions for sale in Andalusia sit between the sea and the mountains. Whitewashed walls, deep terraces, gardens that hold the evening warmth. Search the south by place, type and budget.
Search propertiesThe province of Málaga, home to Marbella, has its own page. Inland, Ronda, Seville and Granada keep a quieter kind of grandeur. Mansions in Catalonia, Madrid and the Balearic Islands have their own guides too.
Marbella and the Costa del Sol
For many buyers, the search for a mansion in Andalucía begins in Marbella. On the Golden Mile, between the town and Puerto Banús, large houses sit behind mature gardens within reach of the beach. Higher up, La Zagaleta and Sierra Blanca offer gated hillsides and long views to the sea, and on clear days to Africa.
West of Marbella, Benahavís and Estepona trade some of the bustle for quieter valleys and newer architecture. Further along the coast, Sotogrande is known for polo, sailing and wide, private plots.
Palaces, estates and country houses
Not every grand home in the south faces the sea. In Seville, Granada and Córdoba, historic houses turn inward around patios and fountains, a pattern inherited from centuries of Moorish and Castilian building. Near Ronda and Jerez de la Frontera, country estates come with olive groves, stables or vineyards. Before you commit to an estate, a few practical questions matter as much as the view.
- Access roads, and how they behave after winter rain
- Water supply and the status of any wells
- Whether extensions and outbuildings are properly registered
- Protection rules that apply to historic buildings

DiscoverQuestions,
answered.
Where should you look for a mansion in Andalusia?
Start on the Costa del Sol, around Marbella, Benahavís and Estepona. Sotogrande, the hills behind Málaga and the old centres of Seville and Granada offer quieter alternatives.
Is a coastal mansion or an inland estate the better choice?
A coastal mansion keeps the beach, restaurants and the airport close. An inland estate gives you land, silence and a slower rhythm, with more care needed over access and upkeep.
When is the best time to view homes in the south?
Spring and autumn are ideal: the light is soft, the gardens are green and the coast is calm. It is also worth seeing a house in high summer, to know how it handles the heat.
