The region runs along the Mediterranean through the provinces of Castellón, Valencia and Alicante. Alicante and Valencia each have their own page, with the towns and coves of each province.

The Costa Blanca, from Jávea to Altea

The northern Costa Blanca is where the Valencia region feels most private. Jávea sits beneath the Montgó, with coves, cliff-top villas and an old town set back from the water. Benitachell and Moraira continue the same rocky shoreline, greener and calmer than the resorts further south.

Altea is known for its whitewashed old town and blue-domed church, with hillside homes looking over the bay. Calpe has the Peñón de Ifach, and Villajoyosa its colourful seafront. Inland, the valleys around Jalón, Parcent and Benidoleig offer country houses among almond trees and vines, a short drive from the sea.

Valencia city and the southern coast

Valencia itself offers a different kind of luxury: restored apartments in the old town, penthouses near the gardens of the old Turia riverbed and beach districts within easy reach of the centre. New homes in and around the city are more often apartments than villas, many with generous terraces.

South of Alicante, towards Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Campoamor, the market is broader. Here the search is about value within the luxury segment: newer villas near golf, the salt lakes and long sandy beaches, with Ciudad Quesada, Rojales and Algorfa a little inland and Pilar de la Horadada at the border with Murcia.
