The Andalusian villa is the image most buyers carry: white walls, terracotta tiles, arches, wrought iron and shaded terraces around a courtyard. Many stand along the Golden Mile in Marbella, in gardens that have had decades to mature.

Marbella modern villas are the most familiar face of the style. You find them in Nueva Andalucía, Sierra Blanca, the Golden Mile and La Zagaleta in neighbouring Benahavís. Ibiza and the Costa Blanca have their own versions.

Ultra modern villas for sale in Spain add what glass alone cannot: home automation, a cinema room and a garage below ground.
